They would work perfectly as a class warm-up (while you’re prepping materials for another project), as an activity for early finishers, or even for a good closing class activity while other friends are still cleaning up.

With this wheel, students will get a theme, element of art, and principle of design. Then they’ll use those selections to create a piece of art illustrating all three.
For example, if they got ‘food’, ‘color’, and ‘unity’, they might draw a picture of a basket of fruit with red apples, cherries, and strawberries (all red). That would demonstrate using the theme of food and creating unity with color.
